Electrical Estimator - Lakenheath - Permanent - Commercial projects
A well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Estimator to be based on one of their ongoing Defence sites in Lakenheath, Suffolk.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding office for a reputable award-winning M&E business. The projects will range in value but typically be from a few thousand to £1m electrical package..
As the Electrical Estimator you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
· Produce competitive, commercially viable tenders for new and existing clients.
· Ability to identify alternative designs to obtain competitive advantages.
· Carry out take off's from working drawings.
· Able to negotiate the optimum tender price from suppliers, wholesalers and subcontractors.
· Ensure tenders are prepared to a high standard.
· Participate in handover of successful bids to delivery team.
· Ensure delivery team understand the technical, financial and key programme issues.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
· Previous experience of a similar role within a building services contracting environment.
· Electrically qualified, with associated qualifications
· Ideally, they are looking for someone from the local East Anglia area that has already developed close working relationships with end user and main contractor clients.
