Peace Recruitment are looking for a Sub Agent for an immediate start on a brand new infrastructure project in the north of Scotland. This is an 18 months on a freelance basis. Day is negotiable. You must have an engineering background and possess a SMSTS/SSSTS.

Key Responsibilities:

* Project Supervision:

* Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all aspects of the bridge construction project.

* Ensure work is carried out in compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

* Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project progression.

* Operational Management:

* Manage daily site operations, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

* Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or delays promptly.

* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and audits.

* Technical Support:

* Provide technical guidance and support to site teams, ensuring high standards of workmanship.

* Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

* Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.

* Quality Assurance:

* Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards.

* Conduct regular quality inspections and manage any necessary corrective actions.

* Stakeholder Communication:

* Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration.

* Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management and clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects.

* Proven experience in bridge construction or similar projects.

* Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in project management software and tools.

* Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate.

* Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and practices
