Mechanical Site Manager

Talented Mechanical Site Manager required, keen to employ the Mechanical Site Manager on a permanent basis

We are working alongside a successful building main contractor based in London, with a turnover last year of £125m and turnover this year of £150m. They already have a brimming order book and a very busy tendering department. The contractor specialises in the luxury residential market, working on both new build and refurbishment schemes, as well as large hotel and commercial developments.

The successful Mechanical Site Manager will be located at a £25m site in East London. Having already completed the first phase, they are getting into the second phase which entails the internal fit out of a £25m residential new build. The successful Mechanical Site Manager will be responsible for managing and administering specialist subcontractors, supervising, coordinating and planning the works on site, reviewing contractor design elements and ensuring that the project deliverables are achieved with regard to safety, quality, programme and cost. The Mechanical Site Manager will liaise with and coordinate all works with the Specialist Tier 2 contractors and direct labour from planning stage through to Cold commissioning and handover.

The successful M&E Manager will have a mechanical bias and ideally have expertise in AC and ventilation systems, with an excellent understanding of the whole project cycle. Other pre requisites are:

* Main or sub contracting background

* Strong management and communication skills

* Commercially and technically competent

* Strong appreciation for health and safety, procedures and programme.

* Comfortable with managing meetings and dealing with the client and their representatives
