Job Description:
Orion is seeking a dedicated and experienced Smart Metering Technical Support and Desktop Auditor to join our dynamic team. This home-based role will primarily support field engineers, ensuring they can effectively install, maintain, and troubleshoot smart metering systems. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise and industry knowledge to provide top-notch support and audit functions, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all metering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Support: Provide remote technical support to field engineers for dual fuel smart metering installations in commercial settings. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that arise during installation or maintenance.
* Desktop Auditing: Conduct detailed desktop audits of metering installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Orion's internal protocols. Identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all support interactions and audit findings. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations based on audit results.
* Communication: Act as a liaison between field engineers and other team members, ensuring clear and effective communication of technical issues and resolutions. Offer guidance and advice as needed.
* Training and Mentoring: Provide coaching and mentoring to field engineers, helping to enhance their technical skills and knowledge. Facilitate training sessions on best practices and new procedures.
* Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring all interactions are handled professionally and courteously. Address customer inquiries and concerns related to metering services promptly and effectively.
* Problem Solving: Use your initiative to independently identify and implement effective solutions to technical challenges. Prioritize tasks efficiently, especially under pressure.
* Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a like-minded team, contributing to a positive and development-focused culture. Assist colleagues with field issues as needed.
Qualifications / Experience:
* Industry Experience: Proven experience in smart metering (dual fuel) within commercial settings.
* Certifications: Relevant industry qualifications such as CMA1 / CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent).
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the technical processes governing Yü Smart's scope of metering works.
* Attention to Detail: Highly observant with a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance and quality in all audit and support activities.
* Independence: Ability to work independently, using your own initiative, with strong planning and organizational skills.
* Communication Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to interact with team members and customers clearly and professionally.
* Flexibility: Adaptable, enthusiastic, and positive approach. Ability to coach and mentor colleagues.
* Professionalism: High degree of professionalism in all written and verbal communications.
* Customer Service: Commitment to providing excellent customer service, with a friendly and approachable manner at all times.
