Are you ready to take on a crucial role in a dynamic environment? We are looking for a dedicated Small Arms Supervisor to join our clients team at RAF Halton on a permanent contract. If you have a background in engineering and are passionate about safety and precision, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Position: Small Arms Supervisor
Location: RAF Halton
Salary: £31,809 per annum (plus plenty of overtime opportunities to enhance your earnings)

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Management: Oversee the small arms maintenance bay, storage rooms, and V&A areas.
Regulation Implementation: Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding documentation, storage, safety, and the issuance/receipt of small arms.
Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct maintenance, modification, and repair of all armaments equipment.
Daily Checks: Manage daily checks of arms in accordance with current regulations.
Register Maintenance: Maintain specific registers of weapons and equipment on short and long-term loan.
JAMES Account Management: Serve as the Senior Equipment Manager for the RAF Halton JAMES account, managing all section reports for small arms and associated equipment faults.
Deputy Unit Range Safety Officer (URSO): Assist the URSO in executing duties safely.
Radiation Workplace Supervisor: Ensure the safe storage and transport of radioactive materials, including monthly source returns to the station Radiation Safety Officer.

Additional Training Provided:

Small arms maintenance
Radiation workplace supervisors course
Explosives foundation course
Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (essential)
Experience from a military background (beneficial but not essential)
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Comfortable working in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Proactive and able to work using own initiative
Comfortable dealing with people
