Metrologist

As a Metrology Quality Engineer, the role will involve:

Usage of metrology equipment and 3-D scanning and software
Advantageous experience including CMM's, inspection, measuring instruments, vision systems, hardness testers, portable measuring arms, gauging, optical measurement equipment and dimensional equipment
Working within a technical team and with inspection and quality departments
Maintain capability in the tooling and equipment for manufacturing processes
Assist with product audits and product improvement
Ensure manufactured products meet requirements to drawing using tools and guidelines
Inspect cast ductile iron and steel castings for turbo/manifold and general engineering sectors to maintain the company's high quality standards Must haves:

Attention to detail and thoroughness
Degree of analytically thinking or problem solving
Ability to read and follow inspection references, work instructions and quality documents relevant to customer and internal requirements
Competent to perform Dimensional Metrology Advantageous:

Experience in machining
Confidence with customer liaison and supporting customer quality reps on projects
Knowledge of CAD software
