About The Role:

CDM Recruitment's client is a leader in providing high-quality ground support equipment and maintenance services at UK Airports. They pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, excellence, and innovation. They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ground Support Vehicle Repair Worker to join the team on a 4 on 4 off schedule, resulting in around 182 days off a year .DAY SHIFT ONLY

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of ground support equipment, including structural and mechanical components.

* Conduct welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques on mild steel and aluminum.

* Utilize your expertise in accident repair to ensure that all equipment meets the highest standards of safety and functionality.

* Assess and diagnose equipment faults, providing efficient and effective repair solutions.

* Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of all repairs.

* Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure all equipment is compliant with industry regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

* City & Guilds Level 2/3 in a relevant field.

* NVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant field.

* Time-served Apprenticeship in engineering or a related discipline.

* Proficient in MIG, TIG, welding with experience in mild steel and aluminum.

* Diploma in Accident Repair Body Principles is highly desirable.

* Diploma in Accident Repair Paint Principles is an advantage.

* Diploma in Accident Repair MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Principles is an asset.

* Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in equipment repair.
