Job Title: Careers Teacher- Immediate start

Job Description

teach195 are seeking an experienced Careers Teacher to work at a highly rated school in Bury on an on-going basis.

Key Responsibilities

Career Guidance: Provide comprehensive guidance to students on career options, vocational pathways, and further education opportunities, helping them make informed decisions about their future.

Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver engaging lessons, workshops, and activities focused on career exploration, employability skills, CV writing, interview techniques, and personal development, tailored to meet the needs of diverse student groups.

Individual Support: Offer personalised one-on-one support and advice to students, including career counselling, aptitude assessments, and goal setting, to help them identify their strengths, interests, and aspirations.

Partnership Building: Forge strong partnerships with employers, industry professionals, higher education institutions, and community organisations to arrange work placements, apprenticeships, guest speaker events, and career fairs, providing students with real-world exposure and networking opportunities.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor students' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of career guidance interventions, and track destination data (e.g., post-school destinations) to assess outcomes and inform continuous improvement strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality careers education that meets statutory requirements and aligns with best practices.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Careers Teacher
Proven record of helping students with placements and future jobs
Experience working within a Secondary School
A willingness to go above and beyond to help students
