Service: Small Elderly Care Home
Amber Mace is currently recruiting for a strong Manager run a small elderly care home situated in Sutton Coldfield. This is a purpose built home which provides residential care for the Elderly and has a good CQC report across the board.
The service has a team of highly trained professionals, who are passionate about delivering excellent standards of care at all times. The home has no problems with staffing and has a very supportive and experienced team who truly care about the residents and the care they provide.
As Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home. Your key responsibilities will centre on management of staff, care delivery to residents, recruitment, training and ensuring that the home is run in accordance with company and CQC policies.
The Role:
• To manage the day to day running of the home, ensuring the highest level of care standards are upheld
• To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with clinical supervision of trained staff, mentorship and assessment of student nurses and induction of new care staff
• Provide inspiring leadership to nursing and care colleagues and oversee the delivery of high quality care
• Conform to the latest guidelines; maintain the highest levels of clinical governance, whilst regularly auditing practices and procedures.
• To recruit, train and develop a skilled, dedicated and knowledgeable team who are dedicated to meeting the ongoing needs of the residents
Skills/ Qualifications:
• Experience/ Knowledge of working with Elderly / Dementia residents
• Have a positive attitude towards improving Standards of Care
• Possess good, strong leadership skills and works well as part of a team
• CQC legislation knowledge
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong planning and organisational/ communicational skills
