GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our Post 16 team in South Shields. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience working with older students as they prepare for further education or enter the workforce.

Job summary:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Post 16 students, you will support teachers in delivering lessons, provide one-on-one assistance to students, and contribute to the overall learning environment. This is an ideal role for recent graduates looking to gain experience in education and make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Key responsibilities:

Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting student learning.
Work with small groups and individual students to provide targeted support.
Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
Assist with classroom management and student behavior.
Requirements:

A recent degree in any subject.
Previous experience working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
A genuine interest in working with Post 16 students and a desire to pursue a career in education.
An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
