What will you be doing as the newly appointed Safety Engineer?
Be the UK Sites representative for Product Safety - this will mean that you will attend frequent Product Design Reviews with both external and internal stakeholders to contributing your Product Safety Engineering knowledge.
Openly provide advice to various Engineering Teams such as Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineers etc. around safety requirements and regulatory standards
Work alongside the Head of Product Safety and Airworthiness on the in-house safety management system as well as training refresher sessions.
Spearhead Customer Investigations for Safety and Airworthiness aspects
What do you need to demonstrate in order for your CV to be shortlisted?
A minimum of 3 years experience working in a similar role within either an Aviation Engineering or Aerospace Engineering environment - your job title might be Product Safety or Systems Safety Engineer.
Working knowledge of Aerospace Recommended Practice guidelines (e.g. ARP 4761 / 4754)
Demonstrable experience of working with both Design and Production Engineering Teams on Product and System Safety Engineering.
Ability to work in the UK as well as be able to gain SC Clearance (due to the nature of our clients product, this is a process that all staff members have to clear)
