Our client is a well-established electrical and mechanical engineering subcontractor, known for their expertise in delivering packages within public and private sector projects throughout the UK, they have a proven track record of delivering high-quality M&E solutions on new build education, leisure, commercial, health and accommodation projects. As a leading M&E subcontractor, they specialise in designing and installing building services nationwide.
The Project
As an Electrical Site Supervisor, you will have a key role within the leadership team on a new build renewable energy project in the East Anglia area. Your responsibilities will include the supervision, coordination, and execution of on-site operations, ensuring that construction activities are completed efficiently and in accordance with project specifications. You will monitor progress of electrical works, inspect work quality, enforce safety protocols, and implement adjustments as needed to maintain project timelines and standards.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
SMSTS or SSSTS
Valid CSCS
First Aid (Desirable)It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Previous experience of successfully delivering M&E packages on large scale developments
Extensive background within the industry with at least 3 years of experience working in a supervisor position or similarAdditional skills;
Quality control
Strong electrical knowledge
Impressive leadership and mentoring abilities
Capacity to prioritise health and safety effectively
Good knowledge of construction laws and regulations
A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to finishing tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a thorough meticulous eye for detail
A wide understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards relevant to the industryThe Role

Inductions / Toolbox Talks
Maintaining and updating site diaries
Ensuring workplace safety and well-being
Establish and enforce health and safety protocols at the site
Monitor work expenses to ensure they align within the allocated budget
Maintain accurate documentation of all technical issues and their resolutions
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders
Facilitate clear communication between the project team, clients, and other stakeholders
Perform risk assessments and ensure that all potential hazards are addressed and mitigated
Attending and contributing in project meetings, engaging in discussions and providing updates
Monitor material usage and ensure that supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner
Produce cost reports and identify potential areas for cost savings while ensuring quality standards are upheld
Guarantee that all documentation, such as plans, reports, and records, is current and accurately maintained
Create and manage task plans and schedules to ensure they align with project timelines and key milestones
Monitor and manage the daily operations of contractors, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications
Conduct regular site inspections, confirming it meets quality standards and adheres to relevant regulations and guidelines
