Salary: £100 - £115 per day (D.O.E)
About: Veritas are working with reputable SEMH school in West Drayton, London (UB7) providing KS3/4 students with a specific curriculum to further student's education based on their ability is a seeking a dedicated and compassionate DT Technician to work Part-time. You will be responsible to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work to provide the curated curriculum designed in supporting pupils who are at risk or have other needs preventing them from attending school.
The school are keen to meet individuals who have experience assisting to teach KS3-KS4 DT. If you can support dynamic, high energy and engaging lessons, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be joining a tight-knit team, working towards raising student attainment through outstanding teaching. You'll also receive ongoing support and training from the school. The successful applicant will have experience with DT across KS3-KS4 curriculum.
Job Description:
As a Design Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Design and Technology department. You will work closely with our teaching staff to ensure that students have access to well-maintained equipment and a safe and conducive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing materials and resources for design and technology lessons.
Maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery.
Assisting teachers and students during practical lessons.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Managing the design and technology workshop and its inventory.
Collaborating with teachers to develop innovative teaching materials.
Supporting students with their projects and coursework.Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A background in design and technology or a related field.
Previous experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using design and technology equipment and tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.How to Apply:
