Join Our Team as a Technical Assistant

Hey there Are you looking to make a difference in the food industry? We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Technical Assistant to join our team in Blairgowrie, working right in the heart of a food manufacturing environment.

What’s the role?

This is a full-time, permanent position where you’ll be working Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend shift thrown in. Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:

* Keeping Things Safe & Sound: You'll be the go-to person ensuring that all our food safety, GMP, and QC checks are spot on, following our work instructions, HACCP, and process control documents.

* Factory Audits: You’ll carry out factory audits related to food safety and quality. And if any issues pop up, you’ll help guide us through fixing them.

* Hands-On Work: This isn’t just a desk job You’ll spend time in the factory, making sure everything runs smoothly.

* Safety First: We need you to lead by example, always demonstrating safe working practices and following procedures.

* Traceability & Accuracy: You'll keep everything on track with product traceability, accurate data recording, and an understanding of tolerances.

* Training: You’ll also be training operators on the basics of quality and hygiene.

* Sampling: Collecting samples for lab testing and responding to customer requests will be part of your daily routine.

* Customer Support: You’ll make sure we’ve got all the info we need to generate customer certificates and assist with investigating any customer complaints.

* Hygiene Standards: Maintaining top-notch hygiene standards is a must.

* And More: You’ll also take on any other tasks that a Manager might reasonably ask of you.

What skills do you need?

* Great communication and listening skills—you’ll need to chat with everyone from operators to managers.

* Confidence using a computer.

* Self-organization and time management are key—you’ll be juggling a few things at once.

* A good understanding of factory operations and the quality requirements that both we and our customers expect.

What experience should you have?

* Knowledge of the HACCP system.

* Familiarity with BRCGS.

* Experience in a food production environment.

* A food hygiene qualification is essential.
