Are you passionate about English and keen to make a difference in education? Our secondary schools in Harlow are seeking a dedicated English Cover Supervisor to join our team starting in September 2024.

As an English Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the continuity of education during teacher absences. Your duties will include supervising English classes, maintaining student engagement, and supporting their learning process. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students and contribute to their academic success in English.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise English classes during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Implement lesson plans and keep students focused on their work.
Support students in understanding and completing English assignments.
Manage classroom behavior and maintain an orderly and safe environment.
Assist with the preparation and organization of English teaching materials and resources.
Ideal Candidate:

Strong background in English, with relevant experience or qualifications.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic school setting.
As an English Cover Supervisor, you will be integral to the success of our English department. Your passion for English and ability to manage and inspire students will be critical in maintaining high educational standards.

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications or experience in English or a related field.
Experience working with secondary school students is advantageous.
Strong understanding of classroom management techniques and strategies.
