Due to continued growth, the company are looking for a Process Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working within the entire process supporting production to ensure the plant is set up to maximum efficiencies.

You will gather information to assist in designing, installing and commissioning new production machinery as well as any monitoring and troubleshooting whilst supervising a small team to assist in your work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Process Engineer to take the chance to progress their career within an inclusive national business receiving constant investment in food manufacturing capabilities.

Duties:

* Assessing industrial processes and taking measurements and data

* Developing practices, routines and solutions to help improve productivity and product quality

* Supervise a small team of process technicians, who will support you in your role.

* Improve operational areas utilising a lean/process-based skill set in areas such as root cause analysis, SMED, operator efficiency, shop floor layout, 5S.

* Designing and running process simulations, performing risk assessment testing to eliminate time and cost constraints

* Preparing process documentation and operating instructions

* Overseeing and assessing new and existing processes and workflows

* Ensure lean training material is optimised and fit for purpose through collaboration

* Devising, implementing and testing new strategies to help optimise productivity

* Analysing data to discover areas that need improvements and upgrades

* Be prepared to assist maintenance when asked to do so by the Head of Engineering & Maintenance.

* Assessing compliance and adherence to safety and quality standards and reporting to higher management about their findings and proposals

* Any other reasonable duty as requested by a manager and commensurate with the work level and own ability

The Person:

* Strong Engineering and / or Manufacturing background

* Formal qualification in Engineering

* Experience in supervision

* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing

* Knowledge of H&S regulations

* Experience in manufacturing machinery would be advantageous

* Knowledge of manufacturing improvement strategies

* Working knowledge of end-to-end manufacturing process
