Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting one of the UK's most highly regarded planning consultancies on the hire of an Environmental Planner for their team in Edinburgh.

The company works in all development areas and is well-known and regarded across the UK. This team focuses on the energy sector and so the successful Planner can expect to work with a range of clients such as major energy utilities providers, network providers, private generators and waste companies. These include site search and evaluation, environmental impact assessment, planning, Development Consent Order (DCO) and Electricity Act applications, Section 106 negotiations, planning appeals and due diligence.

This is a full-time position and based out of the Edinburgh office, although the candidate can be accommodated in Glasgow or Perth if these locations work better.

In order to apply candidates should hold appropriate qualifications (planning or eia), MRTPI status and relevant energy experience. You should be known for your enthusiastic and driven approach and hold strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail should be important to you, as should progression. A valid driving license and access to a car
