Asset Care Engineer

The Role:

* To work within all necessary EH&S legislation

* Be fully conversant with company safe systems of work, operating within agreed safe working practices in line with statutory and company requirements.

* Site response area of accountability

* Visible, supportive and proactive attitude towards customer requirements

* Monitoring line performance and reacting to issues

* Carry out planned and proactive work activities as directed by the maintenance plan

* Work with production and packaging teams to ensure lines run efficiently

* Proactively manage own time

* Working without direct supervision and making sound decisions based on the needs of the business.

* Contribute and assist in the management of the site CMMS system

* To comply with stores withdrawal and restocking procedures

* Work closely with all stakeholders

* A ‘customer facing’ approach with a commitment to communicate effectively and build strong partnerships with all stakeholders.

* Work with the maintenance management team to instil good behaviours, high standards & raise skill levels by being a role model every day.

* A well organised and methodical approach, while retaining a high level of flexibility to support all areas of the department

Requirements:

* Previous experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems and planned maintenance schedule.

* A good organiser with a methodical approach to work

* A working knowledge of CMMS systems

* Competent in the use and issue of permit to work system

* 5 years’ experience working in a front line maintenance role, in a FMCG environment and carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities.

* A good level of knowledge, and practical experience in motors, inverters, electro-pneumatics, hydraulics, drives/gearboxes, pumps & seals, conveyor systems, services etc.

* Time served engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent)

* City and Guilds electrical ONC/B-TEC (or equivalent).

The maintenance team currently work Monday to Friday 2 shifts - days and afters and weekends. This position initially would be to cover Monday to Friday, but their contracts are fully flexible and include alternative shift patterns to fit with business demands.
