Facades Quantity Surveyor required in Hertfordshire / London

GVR are working with a specialist contractor who specialise in Facades and bespoke building envelope solutions. They are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their well established and dynamic team in which you will be based in the office 2 days a week with the remaining 3 days a week out on site.

Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor are :

* Manage valuations in accordance with the contract documents.

* Manage and variations and advise the client accordingly.

* Develop and offer advice to assistant surveyors

* Providing support for the full life cycle of projects, including establishing timescales, budgets and resources

* Enable maximum profit, smooth running and on schedule deliverables of projects

* Interrogation of Bills of Quantities, Schedules, Specifications and drawings

* Liaise with clientele on a day to day basis

* Be accountable for day to day running of the project

* Establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies

* Cost control, cash flow, financial reporting and advice to Management teams

* Liaise with Internal teams on project progress and problems

* Reporting all aspects of the project, Cost, timeframes, problems, risks, solutions

* Liaise with Internal teams during the cycle of the project

* Liaise with Contract Managers in the preparation of any contractual letters to sub-contractors or clients.

The Junior Quantity Surveyor will:

* Hold a Quantity Surveying degree or Construction Management degree

* Have at least 5 years’ surveying experience in the Facades industry.

* Relevant IT Skills

* Excellent oral communication and written skills

* A good knowledge of Maths

* Strong attention to detail

* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills

* Confident, Articulate and a critical thinker

* Ability to work to deadlines
