Job Title: Assistant to Intermediate Level Quantity Surveyor
Location: Liverpool (Office-Based with Occasional Site Visits UK wide)
Company Overview: A well-established main contractor specializing in fit-out and refurbishment projects across various sectors, including Healthcare and Retail. We are known for delivering high-quality maintenance projects with a focus on low-value, high-volume work, and occasional larger-scale projects.
Position Overview: We are seeking an Assistant to Intermediate Level Quantity Surveyor to support our current Quantity Surveyor, Contract Manager, and Estimating team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of commercial projects, from pricing and site surveys to completion, contributing to the continued success of our busy project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveying: Assist in managing financial aspects of maintenance and refurbishment projects, with values ranging from £50K to £500K, and occasional projects up to £3 million.
Estimating: Help with pricing jobs, preparing cost estimates, and conducting site surveys to ensure accurate project valuations.
Project Support: Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, Contract Manager, and Estimating team to see projects through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
Site Involvement: Occasionally visit sites as required to support project delivery and gain hands-on experience in the field.
Team Collaboration: Act as a key team player, supporting the commercial and estimating teams in all aspects of project delivery.
Requirements:
Experience: Some experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimating, ideally within fit-out, refurbishment, healthcare, or retail sectors.
Education: Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Open to candidates on a Fixed Term Contract or looking for permanent work.
Skills: Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Benefits:
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
