Dunbar Education Recruitment Agency is seeking a qualified SEN Maths Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. In collaboration with leading SEN provisions, we strive to provide exceptional educational experiences tailored to the unique needs of every student.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Minimum of 6 months experience in a teaching role
Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

Desirable Skills:

Previous experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and/or behavioural needs, with a strong understanding of the complexities and challenges they may face
Kindness, empathy, and patience in dealing with students with diverse needs, particularly those with SEMH difficulties
Openness to working within a SEN provision environment and willingness to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs

Responsibilities:

Delivering high-quality Maths education to secondary-aged students within a SEN provision, taking into account their SEMH needs and tailoring teaching approaches accordingly
Creating engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and abilities of students with SEMH challenges
Providing pastoral support and guidance to students, fostering positive relationships and helping them develop social and emotional resilience
Collaborating with colleagues, SENCOs, and external professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies for students with SEMH difficulties

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
