The Role: Yard Operative

Location: Towcester

Salary: £25,000 per annum plus Bonus

Status: Permanent

Hours: 07:30-17:00 Monday to Friday. Saturdays 09:30-16:30 + day in lieu

40 hours per week including Saturdays (no Sundays)

Your Mission:

A fabulous family run business with traditional values, seeking to recruit an outstanding Yard Operative for their prestigious site in Towcester. Your mission if you choose to accept it - To play a pivotal role in supporting the team with general yard duties along with dealing with customers on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Working alongside the Yard Supervisor to ensure standards are adhered to

* Assisting all customers in the yard and loading customer vehicles

* Picking customer orders in a timely manner

* Merchandising stock and ensuring products are kept tidy and stored safely

* Taking telephone calls and dealing with enquiries professionally and efficiently

* Adhering to health & safety policies and quality standards

* Safeguarding against loss and theft of stock by being security conscious at all times

* Supporting with incoming deliveries, making sure stock in the yard & warehouse is put away correctly and kept tidy in line with Health & Safety guidelines

* Over the counter sales enquiries

* Processing customer orders

* Assisting Office staff with general duties such as stock and sales enquiries

* General yard duties and housekeeping

The Ideal Candidate Profile:

Yard experience preferably

Full UK Driving License preferably

FLT experience preferably

Good communication and customer service skills

Flexible and adaptable

A positive attitude
