Driver and Chassis Controller

At Todd Hayes, we are very excited to be recruiting for a well-established, hugely successful and growing manufacturing company, based in Thetford.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity, working Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00, as a Driver and Chassis Controller.

Carry out driving details as listed below:

* Movement of chassis to and from sub-contract paint shops.

* Movement of chassis to and from IVA testing.

* Movement of chassis around the site as and when required for production.

* Moving vehicles to and from the weighbridge.

* Moving vehicles to and from PDI

Additional responsibilities:

* Complete the Inspection and booking process on new chassis when delivered to site.

* Park the chassis in the relevant yards on site and organise into order of production requirement.

* Regularly checking around chassis as they are moved to ensure no damage has occurred and reporting if damage is found.

* Ensure battery isolator switches are turned off and/or batteries are disconnected when parking chassis for a long period of time; if the battery is flat ensure it is fully charged and then disconnected as above.

* Assist the business with driving details as and when required.

* Wash chassis as required and maintain necessary stocks of valeting materials.

Skills

* Clean HGV Driving licence essential.

* Computer literate with Microsoft software.

* Organised and conscientious.

* Forklift licence ideal but not essential.
