Pay Rate: £11.60 per hour
This is a Temp to Perm position with the position becoming permanent after 12 weeks of service.
Overview:
Summit Selection are proud to be working with a dynamic and forward-thinking company located in Hull, committed to delivering high-quality products to their clients. With a strong emphasis on quality and customer service, they are expanding their team and seeking a dedicated individual to join them as a multi drop delivery driver.
Job Description:
You will be delivering goods to a wide and varied customer base, and will be the face of the business, expected to uphold and maintain the company's reputation for excellent customer service. This will often involve delivering to specific instructions and areas on site, sometimes offloading and assisting the customer with storing the goods.
All delivery routes are planned ahead, so you will always know what route you are going on in advance. The current driving team works collectively to ensure the ‘out of town’ routes are shared, so no one member of the team is consistently working the same run.
There may also be occasions where you are expected to help out in the warehouse with goods-in and stocktaking.
Job requirements
● Full, clean UK driving licence - zero points, penalties or convictions.
● For insurance purposes we can only consider applicants 25 years or older.
● Previous multi-drop experience essential, preferably delivering to other businesses.
● Good geographical knowledge (Hull & surrounding areas) is highly desirable, as well as experience driving throughout other parts of Yorkshire.
● A degree of flexibility in working hours; due to the nature of the role there may be days that you finish later than others so flexibility is key.
● A can-do attitude - a team player who is not afraid to get stuck in with their colleagues and help out with other department roles from time to time.
● Good communication & customer service skills to maintain company reputation.
● A hard-working, open and trustworthy individual with the ability to think on their feet and take a proactive approach to any unexpected situations.
Benefits/package:
Regular working hours, Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Fridays - no weekends or Bank Holidays.
A full time, permanent contract of employment after 12 weeks.
· Christmas and New Year shutdown, with birthdays gifted off too.
· 20 days paid holiday, increasing with service up to 23 days per year.
· Free onsite parking.
A quality & well-maintained vehicle, with Sat Nav and Uniform provided.
Ongoing support & training, initially shadowing an experienced team member.
