I am recruiting on behalf of an Outstanding secondary school in Tulse Hill, London, for an experienced Attendance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly regarded school known for its academic excellence and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Attendance Management: Monitor and manage student attendance using SIMS, ensuring accuracy and prompt follow-up on absences.
Reporting: Generate detailed attendance reports for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and relevant stakeholders.
Intervention: Work with students, parents, and staff to improve attendance and punctuality, applying intervention strategies as needed.
Communication: Liaise with parents/carers to discuss absences and ensure all attendance records meet legal requirements.
Essential Criteria:
Experience: Previous experience as an Attendance Officer, ideally within a school setting.
Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail. Proficient in SIMS and Microsoft Office.
Personal Attributes: A proactive, solution-focused approach, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
