Our client, a leading company in the oil and gas sector, is currently seeking an Offshore Structural Engineer with expertise in decommissioning to join their team on a contractual basis. This role involves working on the engineering aspects of decommissioning and platform removal projects in an offshore environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting structural analyses and assessments for decommissioning projects
Utilising SESAM software to perform structural engineering tasks
Planning and executing platform removal operations
Preparing detailed engineering reports and technical documentation
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure project success
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Providing technical support during the execution of offshore decommissioning works
Participating in risk assessment and mitigation planning for decommissioning activities

Job Requirements:

Experience in offshore structural engineering within the oil and gas sector
Understanding of decommissioning processes and platform removal
Proficiency in using SESAM software for structural analysis
Knowledge of T&I (Transportation and Installation)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

We are very interested in an engineer who holds a proficiency in the usage of the following software: DNVGL SESAM Suite, USFOS, ANSYS, SACS, STAAD and also has demonstrable experience in design/analysis of removing structures in an offshore environment
