CNC Turner Setter Operator

CNC TURNER – SETTER / OPERATOR
Our client is an industry leading gear manufacturing company. Their customers are in the Aerospace, Defence & OEM markets. They are looking to employ on a full-time permanent basis an experienced CNC Turner. This role will be based out of their workshop located in Hampshire.
CNC Turner – Offer
* £15hr to £18hr depending on experience
* Hours are Mon-Thurs 07:00 to 15:45 and Fri 06:00 to 13:00, a 40.0-hour week
CNC Turner – Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC turning and milling machines (Mazak, etc.)
* Change machine setting from one job to another within a set time frame
* Ability to read and understand programs
* Able to use micrometres, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets
* Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications
* Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company
* Report any issues to the Unit Manager or Supervisor asap
* Adhere to the company’s health and safety requirements and complete training as required
CNC Turner – Requirements
* Qualification in engineering or similar field.
* 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar industry/role.
* The ability to read technical / mechanical drawings.
* Knowledge and experience of systematic problem solving.
* Be able to work effectively and efficiently to meet target deadlines.
