Data Logging Technician - Water Industry
My client is seeking Data Logging Technicians to join our Water Operations team, focusing on projects in Kent, Sussex, and Basingstoke. As a Data Logging Technician, you will play a crucial role in capturing and managing data from our client’s water distribution network to support leakage detection efforts. This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week) with a competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyse data for leakage reporting, contributing to the expansion of our current portfolio of data loggers.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade data loggers on water distribution networks, ensuring optimal performance and accurate data capture.
- Analyse leakage detection zones and identify assets suitable for logger deployment, with a focus on understanding and interpreting distribution network maps.
- Plan and execute efficient routes for deployment and follow-up maintenance, particularly within the Kent, Sussex, and Basingstoke regions.
- Ensure ongoing maintenance of deployed data loggers to maximise network availability.

- Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of technology loggers and related software.
- A strong focus on Health & Safety and a responsible work ethic.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions, including potential night shifts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to achieving daily targets and delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Competence in reading and interpreting plans and schematics.
- A full UK driving licence.
