Position Overview:

As the EE Technician Engineer for Electrical and Electronics team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the development of Engineering activities including the prototype manufacture of items such as wiring harnesses as well as the maintenance of EE solutions for our new and existing vehicles.

1. Team Liaison:

* Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and end-users, to gather and understand EE Needs and support.

* Act as a point of contact between the UK and China engineering teams for electrical and electronics problem solving, ensuring clear communication and understanding of issues and associated specifications between the two teams.

2. Prototype Engineering Support:

* Develop initial engineering solutions such as wiring harnesses, Infotainment upgrades and control/monitoring circuits for electrical and electronics systems, ensuring that design and implementation align with requirements, project goals and quality standards.

* Support problem solving and de-risking activities as required to quickly resolve any related issues.

3. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

* Conduct thorough diagnostics of vehicle electrical and electronic systems using specialised tools and software.

* Identify issues related to electrical circuits, wiring, and electronic components.

* Interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals to facilitate accurate troubleshooting.

4. Repairs and Maintenance

* Perform investigation work and limited repairs to HV systems such as Batteries, EDU, Inverters and On-Board Charging.

* Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including LV batteries, lighting systems, and in-car entertainment systems.

* Repair or replace faulty wiring, fuses, switches, and electrical components.

* Install new electronic devices and systems, such as battery monitoring systems, GPS units, alarms, and audio systems.

5. Preventive Maintenance

* Conduct routine inspections of vehicle electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

* Perform scheduled maintenance tasks as outlined in the vehicle’s service manual.

6. Safety and Compliance

* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing repairs and installations.

* Ensure compliance with relevant automotive standards and regulations
