Grounds Operative - £25,500 – Woking

Do you want to work for one of the UK’s fastest growing Build to Rent operators? Are you looking for an opportunity to expand your skill set?

I am working exclusively with a leading property management company who are looking for a grounds operative to join their ever-growing team at their high end build to rent development.

Your daily duties will be:

* Collect cardboard and other waste and dispose of it properly.

* Ensure that bins are positioned correctly under the bin chute for efficient waste disposal.

* Sort different types of waste materials into appropriate containers or areas for recycling or disposal.

* Liaise with waste collection points to coordinate waste management activities.

* Unblock bin chutes in a timely manner, ensuring proper functioning of waste disposal systems.

* Monitor waste storage areas to ensure they are clean, organised, and free of any potential hazards.

* Report any maintenance or repair needs related to waste disposal equipment, bins, or chute systems.

* Perform routine cleaning tasks at entrances to maintain cleanliness and present a positive image.

* Provide support to the maintenance team as needed, assisting with various tasks on an ad-hoc basis such as moving equipment, removing waste, and general cleaning and tidying.

* Assisting with apartment inspections at the end of the tenancies. Carrying out painting, and redecorating works in between the tenancies

* Perform weekly/monthly inspections such as wet riser’s outlet checks, temperatures measurements, flushing and other water management activities.

* Utilise jet washing equipment to clean and maintain the communal garden pavers.

* Maintaining the communal garden including mowing the lawn and trimming back any excess growth, pruning trees and bushes, digging up unwanted plants and removing weeds.

I am looking for the following skill set:

* Previous experience in waste management, cleaning, painting, or gardening.

* Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

* Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks.

* Attention to detail and organisational skills.

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

* Ability to operate jet washing equipment is desirable.
