About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading British company renowned for its innovative IT, Cloud, and Communications services, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Operative. Our client is a world-class, award-winning organisation that specialises in Cloud, SD-WAN Networks, Unified Communications, and Cyber Security services. They operate over their own secure, high-capacity, business-only network, serving a global customer base across diverse sectors including Public Sector, Defence, Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), and Corporate industries.
Job Purpose
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations. You will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing logistics, optimising the global supply chain, and ensuring that operations are conducted with precision, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring they meet quality and accuracy standards, and document any discrepancies or damages.
Assist in organising, labelling, and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring smooth stock management.
Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are delivered to customers accurately and on time.
Monitor and report any issues related to damaged or expired inventory to maintain product quality.
Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment by following established safety protocols.
Keep detailed and accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and any adjustments.
Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure seamless operations and adherence to customer order deadlines.
Regularly conduct physical inventory checks to verify stock levels.
Maintain clear communication with both internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure supplier compliance and assist with administrative duties as needed.
Assist in supporting compliance and audit requests.
Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or other senior staff members.Candidate requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physical capability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Valid driving licence (car or van).
Ability to pass alcohol and drugs tests as required.This is a physically demanding position.
