Who we are:

Schools Mutual Services are a not-for-profit recruitment service set up specifically by the Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust. Formed in 2020, we work side by side with the Trust's HR department to recruit permanent and temporary staff for positions within.

The Role:

Working in Ofsted ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ schools as a Maths Teacher requires the confidence to deliver lessons in line with the National Curriculum across the secondary Key Stages.

If you are a Maths teacher and you are looking for permanent, long-term, short-term, or even daily roles, we would love to speak to you. We get a constant stream of vacancies from multiple education Trusts in the Northeast, and they are extremely varied which gives us the opportunity to work towards your perfect work life.

To be considered for a Maths Teacher role within our schools, you must hold QTS or be an NQT, with recent experience in secondary schools. References covering a minimum of 2 years must be able to be acquired for compliance, and you must hold a current update registered DBS that is enhanced for the child workforce (or you must be willing to get one).

Benefits of working for Schools Mutual Services:

We view our candidates as valued education professionals, so when working in conjunction with us you will receive benefits such as: industry leading rates of pay with direct contracts through the Trust; consistent permanent employment opportunities through our schools and a guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability and qualifying criteria). Furthermore, there is inclusive training given by schools to help with professional development and alignment with current curriculum; you will also have access to a HR consultant who will provide ongoing support.

Compliance:

Schools Mutual Services are registered with APSCo who are the leading education safeguarding compliance body. Upon registration, a thorough interview procedure takes place where you are expected to give accurate information and explain any gaps of employment. For safeguarding procedures, we required your references to be satisfactory and for DBS purposes, any convictions declared
