Salary: £190-£240 per day

TeacherActive is delighted to be recruiting for a renowned SEND Primary School in Clapham, South West London. Our school, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is dedicated to providing exceptional educational experiences and support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). With a supportive and collaborative environment, our staff are committed to nurturing and guiding our young learners.

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with a small class of 8 students, supported by a team of 4 adults. Your role will be to deliver tailored educational programs, ensuring each child receives the attention and support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEND.

- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff.

- Monitor and report on student progress.

- Engage with parents and caregivers to support students' educational and social development.

Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

- Previous experience working in a primary SEND setting.

- Understanding of various SEND needs and appropriate intervention strategies.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
