Full-Time Cover Supervisor - Starting September 2024 with Potential for Permanent Contract

Start Date: September 2024

Pay: £90 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role:

We are working closely with a Secondary Academy in Southampton that are seeking a full-time Cover Supervisor to start in September 2024 on a long-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position. The role of a Cover Supervisor is both rewarding and demanding, primarily involving managing a classroom and ensuring students stay on task with work set by an absent teacher. Confidence in working with teenage students, adaptability, and the ability to handle challenging situations are essential. The school provides training to help you succeed in this role. A degree and ideally some experience in a similar position are required. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone seeking a career in education and teaching.

About the School:

The Academy is a mixed Secondary School in Southampton, catering to students aged 11 to 16, with around 900 students in total. Requirements:

·          Degree qualified
·          Some experience working in schools, ideally in a similar role
·          Strong organizational and communication skills
·          Ability to manage and engage students effectively
·          Flexibility and adaptability to cover various subjects and year groups
·          Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential
