With general supply, you have the freedom to work when and where you want. General supply teaching appeals to a range of teachers. PGCE graduates love being a general supply teacher because they can chip away at their induction year without planning and marking. Plus, after an intense PGCE year, it is a good way to unwind for a long career in teaching. Alternatively, experience teachers want to explore other avenues, but they are not sure which career path to pursue. Therefore, being a general supply teacher allows enables a steady income which gaining other qualifications and experiences.
Unlike other agencies, we ensure that you have work on the days that you're available whether that be 1 day or 5 days each week. To stick to this promise, we have a guaranteed work scheme that ensures we pay you if we cannot find you work (within a 45 minutes radius). We also try our very best to pre-book work beforehand so you know where you're going each day Additionally, Academics work with excellent schools with a high academic background and little behaviour issues.

I've been with Academics since November 23 after changing from another agency that was very sporadic in bookings in terms of consistency and travelling over 1hr30 very frequently. This is not the case with Academics at all. They are timely to answer emails and have no problems answering their phones either, as well as doing routine check ins with you.
