Powertrain Simulation Engineer– Contract – Fully Remote – 12 Months – Rate Negotiable

Our client is a leading Aerospace company based in Germany and they are looking for an experienced Electrical Modelling Engineer to join their fast-growing innovative team.

Your tasks:

• Develop performance battery and powertrain models and perform thermal/electrical simulation activities.

• Maintenance and development of 0D/1D powertrain models to support a variety of use cases and requirements.

• Responsible to conduct the validation plans on powertrain model on in flight test aircraft and fleet aircraft.

• Developing and coordinating test plans to ensure the powertrain model is fully validated by the time the certification is required.

• Development of standard MATLAB/Simulink process and development of automation tools.

• Perform data processing and analysis, with reporting to internal and customer teams and management.

• Maintaining strong working relationships with the hardware development and calibration teams

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or related field, or a combination of education and experience.

• Min. 2-3 years of experience in (performance) powertrain modelling and programming skills.

• Experience of BEV powertrain development is required.

• Working knowledge of software including MATLAB and Simulink. Experience with Python is highly appreciated.

• Advanced understanding of Battery Systems and BMS is highly appreciated.

• Independent working attitude and enthusiastic problem solver.

• Hands-on experience working with vehicle LV and HV systems is nice to have.

• Prior battery component design experience, such as busbars, connectors, etc is nice to have. • Fluent English language skills are essential
