Classroom Support are currently searching for a promising Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a wonderful SEN (Special Educational Needs) School in Loughton. This fantastic school supports pupils with severe and complex learning needs – SLD & PMLD.
The ideal candidate will be a hardworking Learning Support Assistant with experience supporting students who have special education needs (SEN). Ideal candidates will have experience supporting such students in 1:1 and group settings and have first-hand experience working with children with severe and/or complex learning needs.
It is essential that you have previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs, are confident in supporting children with severe and complex needs.
This is a long-term supply role with an option to go permanent after you have completed 12 academic weeks.
The specifications of the role are as follows:
* Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 3:30pm (term-time only).
* £85-95 per day.
* Temporary to permanent.
* Weekly pay.
* To supervise and provide educational support for pupils with special educational needs.
* To provide support for individual pupils inside and outside of class to help them interact with others and to engage in classroom activities.
* To provide detailed and regular feedback about the pupil(s) to their teacher.
* To demonstrate patience and resilience when supporting challenging pupils.
To start in June 2024.
The requirements of the role are as follows:
* You must have a valid enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the update service) or be willing to pay for a new one (£52.20).
* You must have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN.
* You must be confident supporting with severe and/or complex needs.
