This cosy dining inn in Romsey is looking for a Sous Chef to join their team.

With a great dining reputation, you will be working with fresh ingredients to prepare home cooked dishes for the customers.

Responsibilities of the Sous Chef:

* Directs food preparation and collaborates with Head Chef

* Helps in the design of food menu.

* Produces high quality dishes, including both design and taste.

* Oversees and supervises kitchen staff.

* Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies.

* Ensures the food is top quality and that the kitchen is a EHO standard of 5.

* Keeps stations and cleans as they go, also complies with food safety standards.

* Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance.

* Prepares food to the Head Chefs standards.

* Trains new employees.

* Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.

* Solves problems that arise and seizes control of issues in the kitchen.

Qualifications:

* Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients and procedures.

* Management skills.

* Familiarity with industry’s best practices.

* Leadership.

* Creativity.

* Time-management skills.

* Ability to handle pressure.

Experience:

* Sous chef experience for minimum 1 year

* Food Safety Level 2
