We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ceiling Track Hoist Installation Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ceiling track hoist systems in various settings, including healthcare facilities, assisted living centres, and private residences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Install ceiling track hoist systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
* Conduct on-site assessments to determine the appropriate placement and configuration of hoist systems based on client needs and space constraints.
* Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless installation and integration of hoist systems with existing infrastructure.
* Test and calibrate hoist systems to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
* Provide training to end-users on the operation and maintenance of hoist systems.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with hoist systems, and perform repairs and adjustments as needed.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of hoist systems to prevent downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
* Keep accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including parts used and service performed.
* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to ceiling track hoist systems.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred.
* Proven experience (3+ years) in the installation, maintenance, and repair of ceiling track hoist systems or similar lifting equipment.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
* Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment for installation and maintenance tasks.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.
* Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards, such as ANSI, OSHA, and ADA, pertaining to hoist systems installation and operation.
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Skills
* Certification or training in hoist system installation and maintenance from a recognized institution or manufacturer.
* Experience working in healthcare or assisted living facilities, with knowledge of patient handling techniques and equipment.
* Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software for planning and designing hoist system installations.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, up to 50 pounds.
* Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces.
* Physical dexterity and agility to manoeuvre in tight spaces and navigate construction sites safely.
