We are working with one of our private clients, based in London, who are currently seeking a Senior Scrub Nurse, specialising in Orthopaedics, to join their busy theatre department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a surgical setting.
Senior Scrub Nurse - Orthopaedics
Duties:
* Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment is sterile and ready.
* Assist surgeons during operations by providing instruments and supplies.
* Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with anaesthesia administration.
* Evaluate patients' post-operative recovery and provide appropriate care.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
* Working as part of the Theatre Team to provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care.
* A strong communicator with exceptional standards for customer service standards.
* Adhering to all policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients.
Senior Scrub Nurse - Orthopaedics
Requirements:
* Registered with the NMC/HCPC.
* Ideally, you will be SFA trained.
* High standards of clinical competence.
* Sound written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
* Demonstrated customer service skills.
* Demonstrated computer skills.
* Ability to plan equipment and consumable requirements.
* Experience in orthopaedics, hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty and anterior cruciate ligaments reconstruction would be an advantage but not essential.
