As a Cover Supervisor, you will be crucial in ensuring the continuity and consistency in students' learning by overseeing classes when the regular teacher is absent. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people by supporting them in their educational development.
Ideal role for someone looking to start their career in education - Graduates who are considering starting their PGCE but want to gain experience in a school setting
Supervise students while carrying out pre-prepared lessons in the absence of their regular teacher
Support students in their learning and manage classroom behaviour to ensure a positive learning environment
A full enhanced DBS will be required, Monarch Education are able to support in this if you do not already have one in place.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Term time only, 08:00 to 15:00 each day
The successful candidate:
Would ideally have experience in a school setting but those with experience working with young people outside of school would also be welcomed to apply
Must be confident managing classroom behaviour - you must have a strong presence in the classroom and follow the school behaviour policy to ensure a positive learning environment is maintained.
Will have an evident passion for supporting young people to reach their true potential in school
Possess excellent communication skills and the confidence to keep students motivated and focused so they can work on the activities set for them.
