A leading brand in the supply and maintenance of plant machinery. This company offers a service and maintenance package to multiple clients for Heavy Plant Machinery mainly working on Telehandlers and Roto.
The role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide range of plant rental machines from 1.5T Mini Diggers to 20T Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers and Telescopic Handlers.
What is on offer for the Workshop Engineer?
* £34650k Salary
* 1.25x Overtime

Main Responsibilities for the Workshop Engineer
Field Service Engineer covering the below on various plant equipment:
* Promote & comply with H&S regulations and legislation at all times
* Complete repairs as allocated to the required standard both within the depot and on customer sites
* Communicating with the Maintenance Manager / Depot Manager in regards to any delays, so this can be in turn communicated back to the customer to provide an exceptional service at all times
* Responsible for ensuring the machinery is maintained and repaired to stay fit for hire
* Recording repair data e.g. time allocation/spares used/mileage
* Informing the office of any spares required in a timely manner,
* Keeping the van clean and to the “5S” standard at all times and proactively ensuring that work area is safe.
* Recording and documenting repairs carried out on iPad device with photographs to support any charges applicable to the customer
* Providing support within the Depot as and when required by Maintenance Manager/Depot Manager
* Willingly perform ad hoc duties as required
Work experience requirements for the Workshop Engineer:
* Background in heavy plant, material handling, or automotive with a strong desire to learn.
* Strong background in Plant industry preferred.
* NVQ Level 2/3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent preferred.
* CSCS card holder is preferred
* Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including Engine diagnostics
* Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment
* Excellent level of attention to detail and conscientiousness
* Preferred dealer experience but not essential
