We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in a mainstream secondary school located in Lewisham. The role is full-time and long-term, with an immediate start and is expected to last until the end of the academic year. The salary range for this position is £80.00 to £100.00 per day, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the planning and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
Promoting positive behaviour management in the classroom and around the school.
Encouraging and motivating students to engage in their learning.
Administering routine classroom tasks such as marking, photocopying, and display work.
Working closely with the class teacher to provide effective support to students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in a formal or informal setting is essential.
A DBS check on the update service is mandatory for this role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your initiative.
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
A desire to support the academic, social, and emotional development of young people.
A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
A graduate degree in any subject is highly desirable.
