At their sites at Culham, Oxfordshire and Rotherham, South Yorkshire, they have a rapidly growing workforce to fulfil their expanding programme of research, focused on delivering the UK's first fusion prototype power plant by 2040.
External Website Manager
The candidate will be required to manage the day-to-day operations of the external websites and liaise with the internal web developers to address site issues and implement improvements.
The successful individual will report to the External Communications team, based in Culham, Oxford.
Hybrid role requiring 3 days on site and 2 days remote, with some flexibility required to meet business needs.
Your tasks and responsibilities as Website Manager:
The role will involve working with staff within the Communications department to ensure the external website suits UKAEA's needs.
Reporting to the Head of External Communications you will:
Directly manage the UKAEA external facing and (url removed) website
Ensure website content meets branding guidelines
Internal stakeholder management; maintain open communication with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure information on the external websites is kept up to date.
Responsible for monitoring analytics including using Google Analytics to track website traffic, user behaviour, and performance metrics.
Assist in the writing and development of contentQualifications required
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a related discipline.

Essential:
Experience in managing a customer facing website within a corporate environment
Have experience in writing text for websites
Excellent English language skills (spoken and written)
Understanding of user experience (UX) best practice and knowledge of, and ability to interpret analytics to improve user experience
Strong attention to detailDesired:
Web expertise including HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Prior experience working with external website development agencies
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including SharePoint
Experience in writing for STEM websites
