A large and well-established process engineering firm are looking for an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer to join their busy team in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

This company have spent millions over the last few years to develop their plant and have been involved in recent projects that include, machine upgrades and focusing on reliability to improve production efficiency.

As a site Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will assist the team of engineers to help improve site reliability and minimise downtime.

Additional Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

-        Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and breakdowns

-        Maintain equipment’s such as pumps, vacuums, sorting machines, hydraulics and much more

-        Report major faults to maintenance manager

-       Project work such as machine moves and installations, modifications to existing machinery to upgrade automation, and CI projects to identify issues in production that can be improved.

Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

-        Experience within a heavy/process environment

-        City and guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualified (Mechanical)

-        Have a can-do attitude

-        Strong mechanical skills
