Spencer Clarke Group are working with a friendly and inclusive secondary school located on the Fylde Coast committed to fostering creativity and academic excellence in our students. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join their school. The successful candidate will inspire young minds, nurture artistic talent, and help students develop both technical and creative skills.
As an Art Teacher, you will:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that meet the needs of students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
Foster a positive learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged.
Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression through a range of artistic techniques and mediums.
Prepare students for GCSE and/or A-Level Art, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
Participate in school events such as art exhibitions, open evenings, and extra-curricular activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices.
Maintain a safe and well-organised art studio/classroom.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related discipline.
Experience teaching Art at the secondary school level, with a proven track record of helping students achieve strong results.
A passion for art and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to manage behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students.
