Planner Scheduler

Location – Kintore Aberdeen

Duration - 6 Months

Hours – 08:30am -16:30pm Mon – Fri 37.5 hrs.

Pay - £14.65 p/hr

As Planner Scheduler, you will be a key member working within Production. The role will require a dynamic, driven and methodical individual who will maximise customer service for your product category. Tasks will consist of, but exceed: Short horizon planning, Work pack creation, Supply chain expediting, Assembly scheduling, Shopfloor interface, and Revenue forecasting. This role will require a person with excellent communication and coordination skills, who will engage and develop relationships with key stakeholders such as Sales, Engineers, Planners, Buyers, Production staff, Quality Assurance / Control, Assembly, Stores and Logistics, and will be part of a closed loop communication from sale to delivery. Your detailed schedule accuracy will ensure the delivery of goods through production, to support the site in maximising OTIF and client service. Good IT and analytical skills are essential, including high numerical capabilities to ensure the delivery of our key business objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will continually develop the Assembly scheduling process to maximize OTIF potential at this critical milestone. You will assess risk to orders and identify options and find solutions to ensure the timely delivery of products to customers.
You will utilize MRP to its full advantage to ensure schedule integrity.
You will create work packs for the shopfloor to meet the needs of the business, this will include but may not be limited to: Job traveler copy, drawing copy, and any current Assembly support sheets required.
You will communicate efficiently and promptly with the shopfloor, as you will be the direct interface for your product category.
You will request cost rolls when required, on all parts within Assembly.
You will have the vision to own short planning horizons and expedite Inspection / supply chain proactively to ensure you have full availability of a BoM.
You will be a key in coordinating revenue forecast and will ensure you feedback status on a daily / weekly and monthly basis to measure against your commitments.
You will absorb priorities and identify options to meet client needs, while analyzing the impact of schedule changes both to other customer orders and financially. You will ensure these priorities are handled effectively and quickly.
You will ensure any impacts to deliveries are fed back to Project Planners via OMEGA dates, as well as verbally.
You will join all relevant production meetings and lead conversation on schedule adherence.
You will adhere to all agreed KPI’s in line with the requirements of your role.
You will have the ability to communicate at all levels, inclusive of Directors.
