A local authority in Cumbria is seeking a highly skilled and motivated NEC Supervisor to oversee enabling and pre-construction works. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team working on significant projects that will shape the future of the community. The successful candidate will ensure that all works are completed in accordance with NEC contract requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise enabling and pre-construction works, ensuring compliance with NEC contract specifications.
Monitor contractor performance, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with project schedules and safety regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying and addressing any issues or non-conformances.
Facilitate effective communication between the local authority, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and review detailed reports, documentation, and records related to project progress and compliance.
Support the project team in resolving any disputes or challenges that arise during the pre-construction phase.
Ensure that all health and safety standards are strictly adhered to on site.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an NEC Supervisor, with a strong understanding of NEC contract management.
Extensive experience in supervising enabling and pre-construction works.
Excellent knowledge of construction processes, quality control, and health and safety regulations.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, CIOB) is preferred.
