Pathfinder Recruitment require Baggage Handlers for our contract in Southmpton Docks.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in joining our temporary workforce as baggage handlers.

As a Baggage Handler with Pathfinder, you will be responsible for the movement of passenger’s baggage both on and off cruise ships, laying out the bags/suitcases in the baggage hall and provide portering for passengers as they disembark.

No previous experience of handling baggage or working in a similar environment is required, as on the job training and instruction will be given. However, please note that due to the nature of the role there is a lot of manual handling involved.

Candidates must be well presented and able to communicate with operations staff, our customers and passengers as and when required.

These roles are offered on a temporary, flexible basis. There are several cruise calls both on weekdays and weekends. We are happy to hear from candidates who are age 18 and over and have availability to work on weekdays throughout September and October months predominantly.

Excellent communication skill and a smart appearance are needed.

We work in a safety critical environment and successful candidates will be required to attend a Health and Safety Induction. You will be subject to Identification checks, and referencing checks.

Please be aware that the role is of a temporary ad hoc nature and we will only be able to offer shifts when the cruise schedule allows. Please be aware that this can cover seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts can be antisocial hours and at late notice.

Please be aware that the role is ad hoc and we cannot guarantee you a fixed number of hours. We react to the specific requirements of the cruise lines.
