Acorn by Synergie is working with a leading international provider of advanced Telecommunications solutions for mission and business critical networks. Who are recognised for innovative technology solutions, providing the network infrastructure and associated applications that optimise existing networks, as well as delivering digital transformation programs that provide a seamless transition from legacy to new technology.

Due to company growth they are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join the existing Sales Team within a fast-paced environment. This person will form an important and integral part of an expanding business and at an exciting time within the company's history

The right candidate must be a proactive, forward thinking sales professional, with an excellent track record working as a business Development manager.

They must possess the following skills:

Be a Creative & Strategic thinker
Engaging and enthusiastic
Have great initiative
Able to identify & explore new business markets, seeking out new opportunities.
Able to relationship build with new and existing clients, partnerships, to grow revenue stream, whilst managing expectations and delivering excellent service.
Identifying new products & services and maintaining existing ones
Quantify network operator Projects
Close Sales orders from telecom network operators.

The role will include:

* Identify and quantify business sectors for broadband, utilities, government/defence along with direct and indirect sell including system integrators.
* Search potential market areas for telecom opportunities.
* Present CW telecommunication solutions to potential users.
* Proactively present CW value proposition.
* Attend industry events & conferences to network & promote products & the business.
* Build relationships & stay up to date with new products and technologies.
* Creating sales forecasts & actively work towards reaching them and presenting sales information to the Senior Management Team.
* Active participation in completion of Tender applications received into the business.
* Deliver in person & online Sales presentations with prospective & existing customers.
* Work alongside our engineering team to find resolutions and solutions for all new and existing customers.

The Business Expectations are:

* Deliver minimum £1 million new business year one.
* Create a BaU run-rate revenue of £2 million pa year two.
* Possess a strong understanding of the company's products & competition in the industry.
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and fluency in English.
* Excellent time management skills & the ability to multitask.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Technical skills to understand and propose products & solutions by focusing on the client's requirements.
* Solid IT skills & knowledge of necessary software including MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint & statistical analysis software.
* The ability be self motivate
* Research & stay up to date with Telecoms industry standards, trends & Insights.
* This role can be operated remotely once initial on-site training has been fulfilled, then visits to the Gloucester office will be approximately once or twice a month.

The Ideal candidate will have - (These are desirable skills)

Management experience / bachelor degree in marketing, accounting, finance, business management or business admin
Level 2 diploma in skills for business
Sales & marketing
Level 3 award in Sales Manager
Extensive proven experience working within the Telecommunications sector
